Technical Sessions and Posters

The CITA2019 is calling for scientific papers. Proposals must be presented in the area of food science and technology around the
following topics:

  • Health and nutrition

  • Processing and packaging technologies

  • Food chemistry

  • Food safety

  • Development of innovative products and ingredients

  • Biotechnology

  • Sensory analysis of food

  • Sustainability in the food production chain

 

Proposals can be presented according to the following options:

  • Group session: An entire technical session around the same topic, composed of four presentations by different speakers. In case of less than four speakers, the Scientific commitee can include another speaker.

  • Individually: The Scientific Commitee will evaluate the proposals and notify the result (Poster or Oral presentation) to the main author. At least one of the authors must be registered for the event.

Technical Sessions Guidelines

  1. Proposals must be original and submitted according to the Technical sessions guidelines.

  2. Proposals can be written in english or spanish. Proposals to participate in the PeerJ competition must be written in english.

  3. Proposals must correspond to one of the topics detailed in the guidelines.

  4. Proposals must indicate the author´s consideration about the presentation mode (poster or oral presentation). Only proposals submitted for oral presentation are considered for the PeerJ award.

  5. Proposals will be evaluated based on their quality, relevance, creativity, innovation, originality and applicability.

  6. Proposals must not have been presented in a previous academic event. Or in the evaluation process for another event.

  7. Proposals must be submitted through the Easy-chair platform. It requires to create a free account.

PeerJ Award

In order to be considered for the PeerJ award, the proposal must meet the following requirements:

  1. Be presented orally

  2. Written in english when submitted for evaluation.

  3. Agree to participate in the competition. Consent must be shown in the proposal (See abstract´s template)

  4. Proposal must meet the scope issues of PeerJ Journal, wich are: enviromental sciences, medical science and health science.

  5. as y ciencias de la salud.
